As the Executive Director at AFSN for the last 3+ years I have struggled to convey to non-adoptive parents what we do here at AFSN and why it is so crucial to not just the families we serve, but also the communities in which we are located. When I first started with AFSN I would say, when asked what we do, that “we provide post adoption support.”

As the Executive Director of AFSN, it will always be one of the joys of my job to know families in our community who have come to depend on AFSN to be there for both the celebrations and the challenging times. Just answering the phones helps me to understand the valuable role that AFSN plays for each caller.
